Purpose:

Assesses academic progress to identify a child’s specific academic strengths and areas needing further developments, and help create targeted intervention or extension plans.

What it measures:

Reading (decoding, comprehension), spelling, written expression, mathematics, and oral language (depending on subtests selected).

Why parents and schools choose it:

To understand a child’s academic strengths and areas of difficulty, to screen for possible learning difficulties, support learning plans, further enrichment opportunities, inform intervention, or provide evidence for school-based adjustments or support.

Approximate time:

60–90 minutes (varies depending on age and number of subtests administered)
